TAMARIND takes its name from the exotic Tamarind Tree - a large symmetrical spreading tree noted for its medicinal virtues. Every part of the Tamarind Tree can be used to bring renewed life, protection and balance to the body.
The owner, Anita Hayman, qualified in Beauty Therapy in 1986 and went on to own and build a reputable Salon of Excellence in Profiles Health and Beauty, which she ran for 14 years, gaining accolades such as:
Anita found that although she was gaining continued success with Profiles, she was missing being ‘hands on’ which is her main passion, as well as losing sight of the importance of holistic treatments & a ‘one to one’ caring personal service that had attention to detail. Hence the launch of TAMARIND.
In 2004, Anita was nominated a finalist in Professional Beauty‘s Therapist of the Year Awards and in 2005, Tamarind's Beauty Manager Claire Farr, won the Burgess Hill and District Rotary Club Achiever of the Year Award.
